Alex's main aims are the ongoing pursuits of making sure he is experienced, educated, compassionate and empathetic enough to really understand people's individual needs and deliver the very best solutions, rather than being able to talk about himself.
He strives to provide the very best information with absolute clarity whilst remaining fully impartial and has been described and regarded as the secret weapon behind a lot of athletes across many sports.
As a result of doing this successfully for years with and for hundreds, if not thousands of people, Alex is now one of the most well-known fitness professionals in the UK.
- Keynote Speaker at the UK’s Biggest Expos.
- Writer and Advisor for Men’s Health Magazine.
- Evidence Based Approach: a scientifically well-informed underpinning to all nutrition and training protocols deployed.
- Optimal protocols made clear and practical.
- Application honed through education and experience.
- Clientele have included rugby players with British and Irish Lions honours, multiple record-breaking Drug-Free Powerlifters. ex and aspiring Olympians in Speed Skating, Triathlon and Athletics as well as regular members of the public in various occupations looking to improve the way they eat, train, perform, recover, feel and look.
Nutrition and training are two important topics that can be incredibly confusing to many; mainly because an overwhelming mass of contradictory, over-complicated, and often wildly inaccurate information is absolutely rife in today's World.
Alex has become well-known as a result of his ability to impart factual, experienced, effective information in both fields. In the last two years he has given over fifty talks and worked with both elite athletes and driven members of the public alike.
He has been a featured speaker at every major UK event in the last few years and is often asked to write for magazines and even speak to the media as well as advising coaches, teams and individuals behind closed doors.
He delivers his insights with succinct clarity in order to empower people to quickly grasp and apply powerfully effective protocols in a practical and sustainable manner - doing this free of confusion with a crystal clear focus, people may then preoccupy themselves with what's truly optimal.
Qualified since 2005 in nutrition and training and continually furthering both his knowledge and application of it all, Alex has also been an athlete since childhood across primarily swimming and rugby, he's lifted weights since he was fourteen years old, as well as having a lifelong passion for cookery and dining. These factors ensure that he understands the needs of athletes and the palates of discerning diners. He has lived, breathed and loved these pursuits; the combination and application of which saw him take himself from an 80kg swimmer as a teen to a 100kg+ internationally capped rugby player as an adult. He imparts that experience, enthusiasm and efficacy for bettering practices and results in diet, cookery and training to his clientele. He understands the mindset and action required to elicit and sustain change, and from there, continually strive to better and excel oneself.
This experience facilitates delivery of what is truly the optimal solution, the absolute best course of action...which ensures that individuals have an effective and sustainable approach, based upon and for their own unique circumstances.
With nutrition and training this requires sound physiology underpinning the diet and in-depth knowledge of anatomy guiding lifting efforts combined with the understanding and compassion to integrate it, paving a clear path to success.
He continues to strive for perfection in this art today, always aiming to be the best he can possibly be in order to ensure that his exclusive clientele get stand-out results by spending their time on efforts that count.

Here is a testimonial from a female client who wanted to maintain muscle and reduce stored bodyfat in 2014, yet maintain confidentiality:
"Before Alex started helping me with my training and nutrition I thought I had a pretty good idea of what it took to get lean as I'm a qualified PT who has helped so many people achieve their goals in the past, but, when it came to my own goals, things didnt seem to make as much sense.
I’d had a few coaches before who never seemed to get the balance right, some had their knowledge nailed but weren’t there for me as much as I would have liked when I needed support so I would turn to other sources (i.e. food) to get me through the stressful times...other coaches were just insane; sticking me straight onto two hours of cardio a day with only 1000 calories (or even less) and forcing all the chemical assistance you could imagine on me at the very start of a plan.
It got so bad that I would have to take naps in between client sessions just to get through the day. Needless to say it didn’t last long and I soon decided to stop preparing for the show I’d had my heart set on for over a year, because I just couldn’t continue with the poor recommendations which had left me in a mess; I rebounded terribly and quickly gained a lot of bodyfat, leaving me feeling worthless and like an absolute failure...like I would never be good enough to compete and achieve my dreams. I took a few weeks to get my head straight and when I finally decided to give it one last shot with eight weeks left, I wanted to hire a coach who was well-respected in the industry and knew categorically what they were doing with clients to get them results.
I took a chance on messaging Alex to ask if he would consider helping me, I never thought in a million years he would be able to, thinking he wouldn’t have the time to or that I would never be able to afford his services, to surprise he replied and said he would be more than happy to help me.
We had a long skype consultation where he asked me exactly what I wanted, needed, loved and hated and also struggled with as well as the sort of training I was doing at the moment. Following from this we worked together to make a plan that would be easy for me to stick to and fit into my busy lifestyle while not compromising on results. Needless to say initially after my previous experiences I was still a little skeptical that I would have what it takes to achieve my goals but right from day one Alex has been there for me whenever I have needed anything and takes the time to message me back and listen to me when I struggle, not to mention telling me every day what a great job I’m doing.
What he doesn’t realise is that I couldn’t have done it without his help at all; Alex has completely changed my life (at the risk of sounding cheesy) and shown me that it is possible to be on a plan and still love training and food, be drug-free, full of energy, sleeping well every night and not feeling like I need a nap every five minutes.
I have honestly never felt better in all my life and my self-confidence is growing and growing. I know that I can achieve my goals and that this is just the beginning of my journey working with Alex.
I now stand at two weeks out from my second shoot and I’m already leaner than I was for my first one and I can’t wait to see the final edits! However there is still a long way for me to go before I am happy with my physique, the difference now though is that I know I can push myself beyond my previous limitations and I will achieve more than I ever thought possible.
Alex I am truly beyond grateful for everything you have done for me and I am really looking forward to working with you over the coming months, I'm loving every step of the journey!
You are incredible and I want everyone to know just how amazing you are not just as a coach but as a person as well.
Thank you."
