A WORD FROM ALEX:
"I hate speaking about myself.
I'm not a peacock, I loathe trying to blow my own trumpet for the sake of "marketing" and PR.
I am just a coach, a coach that's here to help others (even you if you so choose) to apply the very best information in order to get great results that you will also sustain due to my emphasis on not only guidance but education and empowerment which leads to self-regulation, eventually.
That's what makes me tick, what lights my fire, what I continually strive to excel with...I'm here to help others get their best ever results though trouble shooting their approaches and streamlining future efforts to ensure that they are time and cost-efficient whilst decreasing any pre-existing risks of injury, removing any potential roadblocks, and increasing return on investment in terms of results.
I'll let a client tell you how things work with their testimonial from the Complete Nutrition and Training Service plus six months of further support."
TESTIMONIAL:
"Prior to working with Alex I had a number of misconceptions regarding diet mainly due to the huge amount of conflicting information in the media etc surrounding us on this topic that is largely lacking in evidence base.
This resulted in me being 'scared' of eating certain foods, not eating enough food and cutting essential nutrients out.
My major food misconception centred around carbs. In fact before working with Alex I had cut these more or less completely out of my diet resulting in lack of energy, reduced brain capacity and basically constant hunger.
There were also certain foods that I perceived as 'not allowed', mainly those containing fat, anything white...I could go on!
As a PhD holding psychologist I strongly acknowledge the importance of diet in supporting our daily physical and mental capacity but wanted to work with Alex in order for him to help me develop an understanding in this area in addition to wanting to achieve personal physique and health related results.
Alex has worked with me to develop a diet that not only satisfies my hunger and is incredibly tasty but that is based on a solid foundation of knowledge and experience with links to a firm research base.
He finds solutions through utilising an individual approach and by taking the time to listen carefully to support my goals. I now actually eat lots more than I used to without fear, even a lot of carbs...with every meal and have seen solid fat loss results.
This approach is keeping me lean and I look better than I ever have.
I have the energy and time I need to lead my hectic life; to train, be a superparent and to achieve to the very best of my ability in my career – no mean feat!
I have a varied and nutritious well planned diet that not only satisfies me, includes my favourite foods, increases my ability to function well in my job and supports my mental and emotional health, I even get to eat burgers!
He has supported the implementation of this diet so that I feel confident that it is ticking the right boxes as I progress.
Alongside my nutrition plans I am also working with Alex to develop a progressive training plan which is reviewed regularly.
Prior to signing with Alex I was active and participated in mainly insanity workouts and using kettlebells at home.
I was doing this without guidance and my technique and form were incorrect thus I was wasting time, lacking confidence, and I wasn't achieving desired results which resulted in a lack of satisfaction.
Alex listened attentively to my goals and has designed me both home and gym based training logs to reach these which fit perfectly into my lifestyle. He has coached me to increase my confidence in the lifts on my plan as I was near enough a complete beginner in terms of excellent technical execution pertaining to weight training.
He has patiently guided me through technique and form so I can be sure I am carrying out my training safely and effectively, as a psychologist I really understand and value the importance of being motivated and feeling confident.
Currently, I am enjoying training both at the gym and at home with much more confidence, in fact I now love going to the gym, which I never thought I would; I'm mastering new skills which is doing wonders for my self-esteem.
Moreover, I am finding sanctity there in focussing on my training.
I'm doing this nutrition and training for me – just to look and feel good, I don’t want to compete and I'm not an athlete but I am seeing awesome results, increasing my strength and am developing the body I want.
Perhaps most importantly Alex has taken the time to share and educate me in the reasons and decisions made with regards my diet and exercise plans which is so important for sustainability.
He has done this in a clear, understandable and skilled way which has helped me to make independent decisions in this area through his empowering coaching style."
